New 7 Gypsies and a Giveaway!!!!!

So excited about the new release from 7 Gypsies!!!!  I wanted to quickly hope on and share some of my projects for CHA Winter.

New 12x12 Shadow box!!!

Like the heart??  It is paper is made from paper towels, Glimmer Mist and 7 G's tissue.  This is a technique featured in my book Creative Foundations.  Did I mention that 7G's teamed with Tattered Angels for a custom line of paints!!!!!  Oh yeah!!!

 

 

I hope you love this release as much as I do!!!!  It is just beautiful!!!!!  How about I do a 7Gypsies giveaway to spread some of the love!!!!!  I will put a few goodies together and draw a name when I post my Queen and Co projects on Monday with ANOTHER giveaway!!!!!

The 7 Gypsies Winner is...

Taking a break from my preparations for a Garage Sale I am planning for Saturday and possibly Sunday.  Lots of retired scrapbooking class kits and stuff to get rid of.  I will also be back tomorrow to share some photos from Christie Antique Fair that I went to this past weekend.  I found some great stuff!

Lots to Say and Share Today and of Course a 7 Gypsies Giveaway!!!!! CLOSED!!!

Short weeks always seem to go by so fast.  The kids have enjoyed being back at school and love their new teachers.  That makes me a happy momma.  I had time to organize product for classes and edit some photos.  I also cleaned some of this disaster of a house.  But like the week going by quickly, so does 9am-3:30pm!

I spoke with my dear friend Cassandra today.  She is one of the most wonderful, the funniest, hard working, generous to a fault, loving wife and mother I know and whe is struggling with acute mylogenous lukemia.

 

Here's Cass with her sweet girl, Brittany. This is her story in the Welland Tribune.  If you happen to live in the Niagara Pennisula and you want to help out a very worthy family, I hope to see you at the Market Square in Welland this Sunday between 9am-3pm.  I love this girl and her family and want to do anything I can to make her days a little brighter.

Another thing I love are great scrapbook stores and the people who put their heart and souls into them.  One of those stores is closing.  I have taught and shopped at Scrapalicious for a few years now and was so sad to find out today that they are closing their doors at the end of the month.  So sad.  I love the ladies (and guys) from this store and wish them nothing but the best in whatever the future holds for them!!!  I'll miss you!

Good stuff.  That sunset was two days ago and it was absolutely breathtaking!  I jumped in the car to chase it and try to get a better photo but this is all I could get...

It was amazing.  Glad I was able to witness it.

I am going to update my class schedule on this here blog this week.  I will be at Crop & Create in Saskatoon at the end of the month with  Scrapbook & Cards, Today magazine.  I am teaching two workshops and I can't wait to see my SK ladies!!!  Will you be there?  There are still a few spots left!!  I hope you can make it because we are going to have some fun!!  Have you checked out everything going on on the Crop & Create facebook page???  Get on over there!

Just packing up my bags and then I am off bright and early to Saskatchewan Scraps with my friend Leica Forrest.  Teaching a bunch of classes and looking forward to hanging out with all the lovely ladies at the event!  I will take photos and share the details when I return.

Happy Humpity Hump Day and a little 7 Gypsies Lovin'- Giveaway! **CLOSED**

Wow!  Can't believe it is Wednesday!!!  I am still trying to catch up after a FANTABULOUS weekend at Tomorrow's Treasures!  I arrived late Friday night (terrible traffic) and visited with the ladies for a bit.  The next two days were filled with projects, techniques, lots of laughs (maybe a few tears!  LOL!) and more!  I have never said that my classes are not challenging!  I like to jam them full of product, techniques, stamping and fun.  A little homework is always expected.  But I have to say that the ladies made it through with flying colours and they enjoyed it!  A very rewarding weekend, indeed!

One of the big hits from this past weekend was my new 7 Gypsies Workshop!  I have never had a group as excited over a class as I did with this one!  The center of the excitement was this little cutie...

I am in love with this handy, dandy little gadget!!  It is the ULTIMATE Tool in Book Binding!!!  Once I pulled them out and let the ladies play...they LOVED it too!  I always have skeptics in my classes.  Not everyone is a believer.  I only promote the things I actually love to use myself.  The ladies who have taken my classes on a regular basis know this, some I have to convert and bring over to "Vicki's Dark Scrapping, Enabling" side.  After using the Binderie Punch in the class many had to have one for themselves!

So here is the clincher!  I will be giving a Binderie Punch away!!!!!!  Yes, one of my lucky blog readers will be getting one of these babies to play with!!!  Isn't that stinkin' exciting!?!?!?  Some other great news!  If you can't wait and you want one now the people at Blue Moon Scrapbooking have them ready to order!  Great site by the way!  Lots of other 7 G's stuff and an Awesome Toy Store, too!  I will be ordering some stuff after I finish this post!

I have been scrapping non stop for what seems like days!  :)  I finally finished up the project for my 7 Gypsy's Workshop featuring the Bindery Punch!  I love that punch!  Love all of the Gypsy Market stuff in this kit, too!

Gypsy Magic Mini Album Class

 

I developed this entire class around one amazing tool!  Which tool is that, you ask?  Well the 7 Gypsy's Binderie Punch, of course!  This lightweight, easy to use binding tool is awesome!  If you don’t believe me, come and see it for yourself!  In this workshop we will be creating a fabulous mini album that utilizes the Binderie Punch along with a plethora of other goodies from 7 Gypsies!!  We will explore a number of ways to create pockets, flaps, fun folds and closures using the Binderie Punch and the Gypsy Market papers, embellishments and more.  Throw in little ink and a twist of metal from Ten Seconds Studio and this project will be the embodiment of Gypsy style!

 

Materials required: paper trimmer, pencil, ruler, wet and dry adhesive, black pen, fine tip scissors, black and brown ink pad, baby wipes, acrylic blocks, foam squares, stapler,craft knife, cutting mat, circle punches-1 ¾”, 1 ½”, 1” ½”, brayer.

 

I will be teaching this class at Tomorrow's Treasures on the weekend of June 5-7 and at Scrapbook Academy in Oshawa on Sat. June 13th.
