Hi friends, welcome to the Vicki Boutin Blog! I have some Color Study inspiration for you today with a masculine focus!
I started my project with a piece of Foundations Paper. I used one of the stencils from the Fresh Stencils set to create three circle patterns using texture paste. I added some color with Salvaged Patina, Spiced Marmalade and Broken China Distress Oxide Spray.
The texture paste and Oxide Spray match nicely with the colors in the Mood Board paper. I cut the paper into one inch strips and created a layer with the strips for my three photos. I added a tag from the Perspective cut apart paper to each of the photo layers.
I trimmed the "laugh" banner piece from a 4x3 card on the Collection paper. I added that to my largest photo mat. Each photo is backed with foam to add some dimension.
I fussy cut flowers from the Gallery paper and butterflies from the Pretty Things paper and added these to each of the three photo areas. I created some rings with the Array of Colors paper and added Gold Glaze to them. These are added to the photo areas as well.
I added the chipboard Love This piece to the center of the largest flower and some one inch circles from the specialty paper to the other flower centers. I completed the layout with white splatter. I cut the white paper down to 11x11 and adhered it to the Palette paper. The Palette paper was trimmed to 11.25x 11.25 and added to a piece of aqua cardstock.
I hope you are inspired to create a masculine layout with Color Study! You can see all of the details for this project come together on Youtube at this link: https://youtu.be/3mpErb1b1C0
