Hey there! Last week, I shared a project with the pre-made backgrounds and the Color Study stamps, but this week I thought I would use one of those pre-made backgrounds, but this time, using my digital cutting machine.
It is so easy to "cheat" and use one of the pre-made backgrounds mixed together with some of the Color Study papers on your page. I just love how pretty this yellow and pink mixed media background looked and thought it would be perfect for this cut file by JustNick.
I started out with a sheet of the fantastic Foundations Paper and added some of my own mixed media to the background with Vicki's Art Crayons, a stencil and stencil brush. I added a soft yellow hue to the area around the cut out flowers, adding in the dot stencil in pink to create a soft coral/orange color.
I just love how the color pops in the centres of the flowers from the different Color Study papers. It is a great way to incorporate little pops of pattern to mix in with your mixed media page.
I added in a bright and cheerful title with the Color Study Thickers and a few diecuts to finish off the page! I hope you will sit back and see how it all came together in my process video here:
I hope you liked this project, will see you next week with another Color Study project!
