Hello there!
Nathalie with you today bringing you a bit of COLOR STUDY inspiration. I love the collection, the colors and designs are amazing! Since the day, I saw the Color Wheel paper, this idea popped in my brain, and I love how it transformed from idea to a complete layout.
I deconstructed the color wheel and reinvented a new rainbow pattern for my layout. The idea of color segments forming a fan design is perfect for the fun pictures of my kids. Since the paper is bringing lots of texture and dimension to the page. I had to add just a bit of mixed media to complement the paper fan.
I based the design on the original color wheel shape and size. Once the new formation of colors was set, then I marked the paper. Here, I first added a bit of gesso through the dot stencil. I followed the application with a rainbow of art crayon color drips.
I used each of the segments of the color wheel to create the half circle/fan that is featured in the layout. Once the color wheel segments were set in place, I glued the center to the background, then added different sizes of foam adhesive to the outer edge of each segment - this adds the dimensional look to the page-
I used the negative piece of the color wheel to help me bring the circular motion to the page. The title and arrows all come together to complete the original circle in the page. I used just a few embellishments to finish the page. You can see how it came together in the following video:
I hope this inspires you to reimagine a paper for your next layout. Remember that I am always a comment away if you have questions on how this came together,
XO
