Hi everyone! It's Mari here for the Vicki Boutin Design Team! I have a 12x12 layout to share today using the Gel Crayons and lots of Color Study!
I started my project by adding three horizontal strips of Gel Crayon color to my Foundations paper using a brayer. I also added three circle shapes of pigment using a lid from my Creative FX Gold Glaze. I added some stamping to the background using the Color Study stamp sets and some Tim Holtz stamps as well.
The stamping adds some nice detail, interest and texture to the background! I sized my Foundations paper to 11x11 and added it to the B side of the Linear paper. I left a stripe of color at the top and bottom. I machine stitched around the edge of the Foundations paper.
I added three 1/2 inch vertical strips of paper from the Perspectives and Doodles papers to the center area of the layout. I machine stitched on the papers. I cut a 2.5 x 9.5 inch strip from the Abstract paper. I punched three 1.75 inch circles in the strip. I stitched down the sides of the strip. I adhered this strip with foam adhesive to the layout next to the other vertical strips.
I added some patterned paper from the 8x6 paper pad to two 2.5 square photos and adhered the photos to the layout. I added a floral die cut behind each photo and a butterfly to each photo area as well. I added a phrase sticker from the sticker book to the top of each photo. I added a title with the Modern Art Thickers.
I finished my layout by splattering with white and gold splatters! I love the dimension and texture of this layout, but my favorite part is all of the gorgeous color from the Color Study collection! It's an amazing collection!
