Hi there!
Nathalie with you today ready to share a new project totally inspired by the FLOURISH Paper from Storyteller. All those tones of peach/pink flowers, the teal background, and the soft patterned design are the basis for my page.
I just love how this turned out! The key was to slowly build layers of mixed media on the background in a soft and subtle way.
I started by using Art Crayons and a thick flat brush to create a column of color on the background. I used some of the extra pigment to try an create a smooth transition of the colors at the center of the page.
Once the background dried, I used stamps to add the images of flowers and strip sentiments to bring a bit of interest to the background!
To finish the background work, combined a bit of Iridiscent glaze and modeling paste together. I used a Stencil brush and the new Exclusive Poinsettia stencil to add texture to the background in a soft way.
While the background dried, I worked on the paper layers for this page. I backed the picture with pieces from the MAriposa, Memoir, FLourish and First Draft papers. Along the way, I added a few pieces from the mini tag album as layers behind the florals. In addition, i fussy cut some of the florals and used them as embellishments for the page.
For my title, I combined a few stickers to bring interest to the title, and added a few more fussy cut florals to the bottom right corner of the pictures. A few lines of journal complete the page. I have created a video that will show you how the page came together,
I cannot wait to see what inspires you for your next project! Remember you can always contact me with any questions or concerns about the project!
