Hi everyone, Jana back again with you and i have a new Color Challenge Layout for you.I decided against orange and yellow but added some light versions from the blue, purple and turquoise.
I am very sick and at home, so i started this project in my bed. Handstitching!
I grabbed a alphabet stencil from Amy T. and some matching embroidery thread. The square for my stitching is 7" x 7" and each row of the letters is ca. 1" - so i have seven rows of letters.
Yes, this took a lot of time but i loved every minute of it and i really love how it turned out!
After i finished all of the letters i grabbed the Watercolor Markers, the same colors. I watered the pigment down and smudged the colors between the letters with a little piece of plastic. I also splattered some of the colors next to it. I am totally fine with getting the colors on my thread, it´s giving some different shading and i love the look of it.
First i wanted to use six or seven very small pictures, but i decided against it. They were kinda lost on the big busy background. We played with snapchat the other day and there is a new filter that had exactly the same colors like i have used on my background... awesome, right?!
I punched out a lot small hearts from a patterned paper with the perfect colors on it. I placed them around the photos and glued each of them down with a 3D square.
I scattered some other things around everything and i am very happy about how it turned out. The purple colored flowers are from the Watercolor Stickers from the Field Notes collection, i needed something in purple and now they are perfectly matching.
That´s it, i really hope you´re inspired by the colors and that you´ll like my layout!
