Happy National Scrapbook Day!!!!! And a Giveaway!

YAY!!!  It's NSD!  A day just for paper crafters!!!!  To celebrate all the peeps at Scrapbook & Cards Magazine are creating an "inspired by" layout.  Fun, right??!!  And there are tons of giveaway and hoopla going on HERE on the blog. Make sure to check it out!!!

This is the layout I chose....

 

It was created by my friend Emily Pitts and you can find it on page 47 of the spring issue.  I love the clean and simple design...it let's the photos do the talking.  Emily has a real knack for creating bold titles and fun, graphic and linear designs.  This spoke to me heart.  

So I created this...

 

 

I played up the use of orange and translated the "box" design with 3x4 and 4x6 cards.

 

 

This "selfie" card was perfect for our "selfie" photos!!

 

 

I loved Emily's use of transparency so I added the red balloons!

 

Thanks Emily for the constant inspiration!!  You Rock!  And thanks to the most awesome SCT magazine for continuing to provide outstanding art, articles and info for paper crafters!!!  Love being a part of it!

Recap #1- Moncton Crop & Create

 Hello, hello!!!!

It seems like forever since we have last visited!  I have to say that I have been on a little whirlwind of travel lately.  But now I am back.  I have slept, nursed a sick kid with the flu, done a mountain of laundry and now...I am working on a series of blog posts!!  I have lots and lots to share!  So I am going to start at the beginning...of my Crop and Create adventures since Calgary (I actually want to post a few additional photos from that one, but after the rest!)
