It's serious business! I have been working like crazy to get my house put back together post flood. Worked solidly from 7:30 am until 4:30 pm yesterday cleaning the "basement" part of the basement. IT FEELS AMAZING!!!!!!!! I love when stuff is orderly and organized! I am not there yet but it is a 90% improvement! I have also been doing a MASSIVE purge and re-organize of my craft room and class storage area.
This is all in preparation for CHRISTMAS!!!!!! I want my tree up! I want to blast the holiday music! I want to DECK the HALLS and spruce the mantel. This is going to be a holiday to remember (fingers crossed)!
To close out November I have this Christmas tag I created to celebrate the great run I have had as a member of the Tim Holtz Media Team. I was honoured to be asked to be a part of the team and I have enjoyed seeing all of the great artwork created by the other team members. Tim has missed the connection with his blog followers and I have no doubt they have missed him. I will continue to create with his FABULOUS products and post the projects here, on Instagram and Facebook.
Take a look at what I cooked up...
How about a few step by step instructions...
Add Picket Fence Distress Paint through the Woodgrain Stencil with an Ink Blending tool on to a piece of Merriment Paper Stash paper and allow to dry. Clean your stencil ASAP.
I used the Emboss It Dabber and added it to a few areas of the mask.I love this stuff! Smells great!!!
Add white embossing powder to wet embossing gel and tap off excess.
Heat set the embossing powder.
This isn't the best photo but can you see the "ghosted" effect of the layered paint and embossed areas? It is really fun!!
Trim the arounf the stenciled pattern and fold over the top of the tag to reveal the "b" side. cut a "v" from the bottom.
Ink the edges with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. Buff excess ink off of the embossed areas.
Cover a pices of heavy card (I used mat board) with a glue stick and add a piece of Tissue Wrap and fold in wrinkles. I love doing this technique with the glue stick!!! Less mess and the paper "move" well in the glue. AWESOME!! Let dry.
Cut a snowflake pattern using the Sizzzix Tim Holtz Stacked Snowflake die.
Ink the edges of the snowflake with Distress Ink- Pumice Stone, Bundled Sage and Frayed Burlap. Dry.
Add Glossy Accents adhesive to a few spots on the snowflake and sprinkle with Pumice Stone Distress Glitter to create a "Frosted Flake". :) Let dry.
Create a medium and large snowflake. Add foam adhesive to the large flake.
Crumple Crinkle Ribbon, add it to the tag and stitch in place and add the bow.
Ink the edge of a Mini Holiday Flash Card and add ChitChat stickers and Christmastime Remnant Rubs.
Layer the Snowflakes, Flash Card and "Merry Christmas" from the Idea-ology Christmas Ephemera pack. Add a Christmas Tiding Token with a Trinket Pin.
Here are a few close ups...
