Well the day has finally arrived! The summer issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today is now available in all it's downloadable glory! You can find it HERE!
In my column, Designer's Notebook I explored a few uses for one of my favorite crafting items...CHIPBOARD!!! I LOVE the stuff! It offers a whole world of technique possibilities! Chipboard is sturdier than paper and will receive paint, ink and other wet substrates so much better then paper!
Here are a few close up shots of the projects I created...
I used these awesome cloud chipboard pieces from Studio Calico to create a masked background and then layered the actual piece on top with foam squares. Great way to use your spray inks and left over chipboard shapes.
I love the Pink Paislee Mistable chipboard buttons and the backing once they are popped out makes for a great mask!!! I sprayed some ink to create a funky pattern and then layered my Love Notes background stamp from Stamping Bella on top.
Here is a close up of the gessoed tree from Harmonie.
A closer look at the heat embossed flowers from Maya Road.
The whole issue is just stunning!! Make sure to check it out and let me know if you have any questions regarding the projects from Designer's Notebook.
