Materials:
Hero Arts- Cards and Envelops: two each of Snow and Kraft
Cosmo Cricket: Pixie-Licious 6” x 6” paper pad, 12” x 12” sheet of Woolens, Flurries, Tiny Type stickers-crème
Core’dinations- Aegean Mixed Dots
Queen and Co-rhinestones
Hero Arts Stamps: C’est Chouette, Big and Small Flowers, Hearts Trio, Merry Christmas Trees, Essential Messages Background stamps- Music Background
2” circle stamps
Ranger Industries- Distress Inks-Stormy Skies, Milled Lavender, Archival Ink (black), Perfect Pearls- Jewels set, Mini Misters, White Gel Pen
Tools: Fiskars-2” circle punch, 1 ½” circle, corner rounder
Students need: paper trimmer, fine tipped scissors, ruler, black marker, black stamping ink, acrylic blocks, and baby wipes, sand paper
To create the Season’s Greetings peek-a-boo card:
- Stamp the left portion of the inside of a kraft card with Perfect Medium ink and lightly dust with the red Perfect Pearls. Dust off the excess. Repeat for the right inside portion of the card. Lightly mist with water to set the pearls.
- Fold the front section of the card in half towards the left. This will reveal the inside stamped image.
- Trim a 2 ¾” x 4” piece of the green side of the Woolens 12” x 12” paper. Trim a 2 ¼” x 3 ¾” piece from the center of the crème scalloped circle (from the 6” x 6” pad). Stamp solid stars on the crème paper (stamp is from the Merry Christmas Trees set) using the Stormy Skies ink. Draw a black border around the outer edge of the crème paper and layer the stamped paper on top of the green and red floral paper.
- Stamp the script Christmas tree in black on the light green dot paper (6” x 6” pad) and cut it out. Stamp the music note Christmas tree in black on the polka dot side of the Mitten Weather paper and cut it out. Layer the small tree on the large tree with adhesive foam squares. Attach it to the center of the stamped crème paper and add rhinestones.
- Attach the piece with the trees to the folded side of the card.
- Stamp “Season’s Greetings” in black on to the crème paper, cut out and attach inside the card.
- Stamp Season’s Greetings in black, stamp stars with Perfect Medium and add blue Perfect Pearls to the bottom right corner of the envelope.
To create the Merci pocket card (opens at the top):
- Trim a 2 ¼” strip from the front of a white card.
- Ink the background stamp from the C’est Chouette stamp set with the Milled Lavender ink and stamp the bottom of the front flap.
- Trim a 5 ¼” x 4” piece of the lavender striped paper (6” x 6”) and attach it to the inside of the card. Attach the inner sides of the front of the card to create a pocket.
- Trim a 4 ¾” x 3 ½” piece of the teal textured cardstock and round the upper right and left corners. Slide inside the pocket.
- Stamp a polka dot heart on the orange paper and two on the teal paper and cut them out. Stamp the flower heart on the dark purple polka dot paper and cut it out. Stamp the large doodle heart on the green and lavender circle paper and cut it out. Attach the hearts to the front of the card. Use adhesive foam squares to pop the flower heart up and add buttons and rhinestones.
- Punch a 2” circle from the upper right of the other white card. Stamp a Milled Lavender circle around the outer edge of the punched circle. Punch a 1 ½” circle from the light green polka dot paper and attach it slightly to the right of the 2” circle. Stamp the “Merci” image in black over the layered circles.
- Attach the stamped circle to the teal tag.
- Stamp a black circle on the lower right corner of the envelope. Stamp hearts with Perfect Medium and add Perfect Pearls.
To Create the Thank You peek-a-boo card (opens to the right):
- Trim a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of the light green polka dot paper (6” x 6”) and adhere it to the inside of the white card with the 2” circle punched out of the upper right corner.
- Stamp the music note background on the front of the card with Milled Lavender ink.
- Stamp a black circle around the 2” circle opening. Stamp a 2” black circle inside the card.
- Stamp “thank you” in black in the lower right corner of the card.
- Stamp two small flowers in black on the teal paper (6” x 6”) and cut them out. Stamp a large flower in black on the dark purple polka dot paper (6” x 6”) and cut it out.
- Attach the flowers to the card and add buttons.
- Stamp flower image using the Perfect Medium in the lower right corner of the envelope and add Perfect Pearls. Stamp “thank you” in black.
To create Hello pocket card (opens to the left):
- Trim a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of the green and lavender circle paper and attach it inside the card.
- Cut a 4” x 4” piece of the orange paper and attach it to the top of the back side of the front page of the card.
- Trim a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of the light green polka dot paper (6” x 6”) and attach it to the front of the card. Fold the front left corner of the card over and adhere it to the front of the card.
- Trim a 3 ½” x 5” piece from the teal textured cardstock and sand the outer edges. Slide the piece inside the pocket card.
- Trim a teal and a scalloped strip from the multi striped paper (6” x 6”). Attach them to the bottom of the card.
- Stamp a stem on the front of the card and color it is with a white gel pen.
- Stamp a large flower on the dark purple polka dot paper and cut it out. Stamp a small flower on the purple striped paper (6” x 6”) and cut it out. Attach the smaller flower to the large flower with an adhesive foam square and add the flowers to the flap on the card. Add a button the center of the flower.
- Stamp the stem image on the green striped paper (6” x 6”) and cut the leaves out. Attach the leave the stamped image on the card.
- Add letter stickers.
- Stamp three flowers in the lower right corner of the card with Perfect Medium and add Perfect Pearls. Create a shadow by inking the same stamps in black and shifting them slightly when you stamp.
