Crazy Hair Day and the Voucher Goes to....

Friday...well early Saturday morning, really!  One day I will make it to bed before 2am!!  I am off to Scrapalicious in the morning to teach the Photo Carousel class!  I will add images of the new version of the project tomorrow or on Sunday.  It is a really beautiful 7 Gypsies workshop!  If you are thinking about taking the class (Stamping Bella, The Scrapping Nook, Paper Marchant...and more!) go ahead and sign up!  The kit includes the carousel which is valued at $40 and a bunch of other goodies to make things interesting! It's going to be a good one!!

The kids had crazy hair/spirit day at school today.  Look at Dev's hair...

She was cute!  And Riley had polka dots, too!  It was fun washing the hairspray out of her hair tonight.  Thank goodness for conditioner!

This is a Good Giveaway and a Little Catch Up!! **GIVEAWAY CLOSED**

I have been a neglectful blogger!  Last week I was busy with the kids and March Break and then I was in Newfoundland this past weekend!  I am going to do a quick catch up and at the end of the post I have an awesome giveaway!!

Had a fabulous time at the Paperie in St. John's, NL!!!  Lots of familiar faces and a few new ones, too!  I love visiting the ladies at that store.  We had a great time creating with ink, paint, fabric, stamps, etc and lots of laughs, too!  Thanks to Chris and Janna for yet another wonderful experience!  Thanks also to the ladies that came out and joined in the workshops!!!

I was sad to send them back to school on Monday!  I really enjoy spending time with my babies!

In January, Rebecca from Sassafras celebrated a special birthday and the design team helped put together an album with layouts using photos of her kiddos.  It turned out beautifully and she loved it!!!  As a thank you, I was sent a voucher for $50 worth of Sassafras goodies!  How exciting and generous of the folks at Sassafras!!  They are very good to me.  I want to be good to you guys in return!!  So I am going to pay it forward and share that $50 voucher with one of my blog followers!!!  YAY!

Good Finds Does a Heart Good

It's Friday!  The older I get the faster the weeks go by!  I seem to always be running out of time.  I did find some time to go visit one of my favourite home decor stores this week...Homesense.  Look at these treasures...

The big book looking things are actually storage...

How stinkin' cool is that!  These little treasures will be finding a happy home in designated spots around the house.  I need to "style" my home and freshen up my scraproom.  I am going to cut some vinyl this week with my Silhouette, too.  Can't wait!  Sure hope I don't run out of time, but who am I kidding...I will.

Creative Charms Giveaway**Closed**

It's Monday and what a beautiful Monday it has been!  The sun was shining and it was such a nice day!!  I was inspired to create a few pretty things today.

Have you heard of Creative Charms?  I discovered this fabulous company in January and I have fallen in love with their bling and embellishments!  Take a look at a few of my favourites...

Aren't they pretty??  I made a few little goodies with Creative Charms today...

To create this 8x8 layout I used the the Sparkle Butterfly Medley and the Butterfly Garden Medley from Creative Charms.  The paper is Kioshi from Basic Grey.  The stamps are Kelly Panacci for Hampton Arts.    

For this bright little card I used the Groovy Petal Medley Loop 'd' Loop flowers.  The paper is Green at Heart from Basic Grey.  The little chick stamp is one of my new favourites from Hero Arts!!!  It is the Flower Chick stamp and the phrase is from the must have Anytime Messages set.

Look At These and I Drew a Name!

I love creating.  Seriously, love it!!  If I could just hide away and play with paper, paint, stamps etc. I would work in to the wee hours of the night and only come for air when I had to.  I have been doing just that these last few days.  I revamped my Denim album class and finished up a Tag Technique class.  It had so much fun!!!  Can't wait to teach these two workshops!

I Have a Scrapbook Hero and Another little Giveaway **CLOSED**

I have a scrapbook hero.  If there is one person in this industry that speaks to my creating heart every time she touches her scissors or stamps to paper it's Jennifer McGuire.  She inspires me all the time.  She creates in a way that is accessible to all and innovative in the simplest ways.  She did a special issue for Creating Keepsakes a ways back and she asked me to be a part of it.  I was floored.  Since then we have become friends.  If you aren't familiar with Jennifer (I think that is close to impossible) then take a look at her blog and the Hero Arts blog (another site that is full of my scrap crushes).  You can find How To's, great causes, lots of handy info and you will definitely leave inspired to make something!!!  She is good.  It is as simple as that and it never hurts to let someone know when they are appreciated.

Speaking of Hero Arts...

I made this card using the Sending Happy Thoughts stamp set , The Whimsical Frames stamp set and the phrase is from the All Occasion Messages stamp set.  I am itching for spring, let me tell you!  Enough with the snow...I want to see some crocuses peeking through the ground right about now!!!

It's Cool to be Canadian!!!

Not that it isn't cool to be Canadian most days, but after yesterday my heart is still filled with patriotic pride!!!  Riley played hockey about 20 mins after that gold winning shot by Sidney Crosby!!!  All the parents were gathered around a little TV at the arena watching the last period of the game.  It was one of those great experiences I am sure I will always remember.  The parents from the the opposing team were there with us and for that 20 mins or so we were just a group of proud Canadians cheering our boys on rather than rivals.  There was a collective gasp(and a few foul words) when the US tied up the game.  Many thought it was over but I remained positive (it sure did make it more exciting!!!).  Then Crosby scored and there was a roar of applause and hoots and hollars from our small group!!  Canada won the GOLD!!!!  Awwww...it was good.  I have to say that it made watching Riley and his team play all that more exciting to watch.

Don't you just love these stamps by Kelly Panacci for Hampton Arts??!!!  She has a whack of cool stamps in the winter catalogue!  Can't wait to get my hands on them!  A girl can NEVER have too many stamps!
