Chatterbox Christmas, A Scavenger Hunt and Those Charms

I just Loooove Chatterbox!  And I am even more enamored with the release of their new Christmas line!  The papers, embellishments and stamps are just YUMMY!  The whole line is being sold in a kit exclusive to Sam's Club.  Here is a link to a photo of the kit on the Chatterbox blog.  Here is the page This is what I created with the goodies that were sent to me:

I painted, sanded and stitched the heck out of this paper to give it a homey, country look.  Lots of fun!!!

Here are those Patera Charms from Nunn Designs I was talking about earlier this week...

 

 

I printed the pictures on regular paper and photo paper.  The color really runs on the regular paper but it added to the charm.  I think I may try these again but with inkjet images.

Just add an image, some findings and a little Glossy Accents!  Super fun and easy!!!

Brrrr...It's Cold Outside!

It's coming...I can feel it in the air!  Old man winter is right around the corner and I am not looking forward to saying hi to him when he finally arrives!  I love snow but only between Dec 24 and Dec 29 and then it can all go away.  Brrrrrrrr.

I had a good time in Smith Falls this past weekend!  Great group of ladies in attendance at Tomorrow's Treasures and my mom and I had a wonderful time!  She drove the 6 hours with me and it was so nice to have some "mommy" time.  I taught the All in the Family 6x6 Album class and the ladies seemed to really enjoy all of the Ranger Distress techniques and the Scenic Route Sonoma goodies!  I laughed a lot over the 2 days and can't wait to go back in February!  Love hanging out with Angie and her crew!

I love creating pages from sketches and was delighted to do this page for Kristine at Creative Scrappers.  Go to the blog and check out the sketch!  The design team has some beautiful stuff on there, too!  Great scrapping inspiration!

I have a lot of traveling to do in the month of November so I will be busy getting ready for that.  Check out my upcoming classes in the left column and if you are near any of the stores/events I hope you get a chance to come out and see me!  I heard today that 2 spots opened up for the Scenic Route Scrapalicious event with Layle and I!  If you wanted in but couldn't get a spot you may still have a chance if you call today! 

I will be back tomorrow to post some pictures of the fun pendants we made this past weekend using Nunn Designs Petera Findings!  I have loved the stuff from this company for a long time and these pendants are perfect for ephemera pretties!!!!

Two New Classes for the Scrapping Bug

Just a quick "pop" in.  I just finished up two classes for the Scrapping Bug in Kitchener, ON.  I will be teaching at the Bug on Saturday, Nov 15th and it looks like both of these classes will probably only be offered this one time.  My schedule is full all but Saturday Dec 6th so if you want to come and play, give the ladies at the Scrapping Bug a call to reserve your spot!!!  The kits are packed with product and there will be prizes and good times to be had by all!!!!

Bonjour! We're Back!

Well, we made it home in one piece!  Arrived on Friday night after an 8 1/2 hour flight from Paris.  I am still trying to adjust to the time change...I keep waking up between 4 am and 6 am.  It's so nice to be home!  We had a wonderful time in France!  The Paper and Co show was great!  The people were wonderful and it was so nice to meet up with a few scrapping friends that were there teaching as well!  The organizers of the event were amazing!  Very welcoming and helpful!  As well as the wonderful TA's who were a god send with the whole translation thing!  :)  Thanks again!

I will write more about our whole experience soon!  Today, I will just share a few quick photos....

Hope everyone has been well while I've been away and enjoying fall!

Checking In Before I Head out!

 I have been a delinquent blogger lately!  I am trying to get stuff done before we leave for France tomorrow!!  Off to the Paper and Co show!  We are really looking forward to meeting lots of new "amis" at the event!

I have to say that the class on Saturday at "Scrapbooks by Design" in Toronto was sooooo much fun!  What a great bunch of ladies and I love the selection in Jenni's store!  There was a good turn out and I think we all had a good time learning some Ranger Distress techniques and playing with some Scenic Route, Gel-A-Tins, Prism, American Crafts, Maya Road and more!  Can't wait to go back in the new year!

On Sunday, we went on the BEST nature walk in the Short Hills.  We can't wait to go back!  The kids loved it and I enjoyed taking a few pictures and watching them discover the great outdoors!  Here are a few pics:

 

 

 

 

Before I head off to bed I wanted to let you know that I will be teaching two classes at the Scrapping Bug in Kitchener on Saturday, Nov 15th.  I am going to finish up the class samples when I get home but just to ppique your interest...I will be doing two layout workshops one featuring a fall theme with Scenic Route's Sonoma line and a little foil transfer as well as a few other fun techniques.  The other workshop will featur Kelly Panacci's Christmas line with a little Ranger fun mixed in!  There will be lots of stamping, pages for multiple photos and of course giveaways and good times!  Call to reserve a spot and watch out for a few sneak peeks when I get back!

This is the Haunted House Album.  I had such fun making this minibook!  The Pink Paislee stuff is so PERFECT...I am a big fan!!  And I love the albums from Kaiser Craft.

This Pink Paislee stuff has been so popular that parts of the layout kit won't be available until later in the month!  That should give you lots of time to plan your photos for these projects while waiting for the kits to arrive! :)  There are a few in stock and ready to ship now so don't wait too long if you are in a hurry to get it!  I really love this one so have fun with it and let me know what you think!
