Scrapfest Incentives!!!

I am getting class stuff ready this week!!!!  That means I am getting prizes and such ready for Scrapfest which is in less than 2 weeks!!!  2 weeks, I tell you!!!  Are you coming??  Here is a peak at one of the kits all laid out pretty-like!

In addition to these yummy teasers...I am going to be giving away a bunch of prizes in ALL THREE of my classes!!!  I want you to come and get messy!  I want you to have fun!!!!!  I want to give away goodies!!!  I am going to post some pictures of the prizes later this week...no joke...I have lots to share with my friends who sign up to come and play!!!

In other news, Layle was here this past weekend and we had a great visit!  She put up with me and my family and even came and watched Riley's hockey game...twice!!!!  Speaking of Riley...his team...The Shamrocks...won third place in his division!!!!  Yay!!!  I will post some pics as soon as Layle sends them to me (I forgot my camera!!!  Can you believe it!?!?!?!)

Some Bling!!!

This is a quick post!  I am off to the Open Page Retailers event and won't be back until tomorrow night!  But I wanted to share some jewelery!!!!

These bracelets were created by a friend of mine.  I am going to buy one and give it away once her Etsy shop is open so watch for that in the next month!!!

Happy Easter!!!!

Just winding down from another busy day here in the Boutin house!  We had our little Easter egg hunt this morning.  The kids had a blast!  It may be time for the fuzzy tailed guy to make it a bit harder!  They were done in a matter of minutes. 

We just got back from the inlaws...had a nice turkey dinner!  It was a very nice way to spend the afternoon.  Now I need to make the kiddos a bite to eat.  We have a special guest today...

Kenzie is here!!!  Man, we miss this kid!!!  It has been so nice having her!!

Dinner was sooo good yesterday!  For dessert we enjoyed my Mom's lemon meringue pie!  the company was great, too.  I love Easter weekend!  Here are a few pics...

Lovin' the Smell of Vinegar!!!!

Happy Good Friday!!!  It was such a great day here in the Boutin house!  It is a holiday here in Canada so made the most of it!  We cleaned this morning and I have to say that I really do love cleaning and organizing!  Well, the end result any way!!!  It is a freeing thing, you know??  I especially love it when I declutter and clean and my DH follows after me and takes the trash out and breaks down the boxes!!  He is so good!

After the cleaning we got ready to decorate eggs!!!  A Good Friday tradition!!!   I took a few pictures of the kids first...they were all wound up and acting CRAZY!!!!

After the craziness we dyed some eggs!

That is when the vinegar loving came in to play.  Both kids thought the dye in the glasses smelled so good...

As a matter of fact, Dev looks like she actually LOVES the smell of the vinegar!!!!

I, on the other hand, think vinegar smells a little funky!  But we had fun!  Dyed fingers and all!

The absolute highlight of my Good Friday was...A TRIP TO THE ONE OF A KIND ARTS AND CRAFT SHOW in Toronto!!!!!!  YAY!!!  As any of the regular readers know...I love going to the One of a Kind!!!  Tonight was no exception!  I found some lovely stuff!  Like the ring I am sporting on my finger right now!  L-O-V-E-L-Y!!!!!  I will post some pics tomorrow of all of my finds!  Links too if I can find them.

Off to bed now...I have to cook dinner tomorrow...mushroom scalloped potatoes, cheese and bacon scalloped potatoes, a cherry glazed ham and honey-gingered carrots are on the menu!

Scrapfest Kitchener Sneak Peeks!!!

Hello friends!!!  I am finally coming up for air!!!  I have been busily working on all of my projects for Scrapfest in Kitchener!!  I had so much fun creating these pages and cards and things!  I was covered in ink, glitter, foil and glue when I was done but it was all worth it.  I am doing three classes in total.  On Friday night I will be teaching the...

The Spring into Fun with Scenic Route class.  We will be creating one 2 page layout and two 1 page layouts in this 3 hour class.  This one is jam packed!  We will be playing with Ranger Crackle Paints, Perfect Pearls and more!  All of this mixed with the yummy Lynden line from Scenic Route!  Fun, fun, fun!!!!

On Saturday, I will be teaching the second two classes.  In the morning it will be...

Spring Bling with Glitter and Things!!!!  We will be creating two single page layouts and a card in this 2 hour class.  I was so excited to snag some of the Scenic Route Grafton line for this class and a bunch of fantastic product from Stix 2 Anything!!  We will be altering chipboard and building layers of fun with some really cool products.  Lots of great techniques in this class!

The last class I will be teaching at Scrapfest is on Saturday afternoon and it is called...

Get the Stamp of Approval !!!  This one is focused on...using stamps of course!!!  We will be creating two single page layouts, a card and a tag in this technique driven class.  I was able to get some fun product from Kelly Panacci, Prism Papers, Gel-A-Tins Stamps, Sassafras Lass, Ranger and Hero Arts!!!  Together we will explore different ways to incorporate acrylic and rubber stamps into our scrapbook pages and paper crafts!

All three of these classes are brand new and may end up being exclusive to the Scrapfest Kitchener.  So, if you are interested you can go to the site and register online.  I will also kit extras for the weekend of the show so any last minute sign ups can be accomidated, unless the classes are sold out.  The Stamp of Approval class is getting close to full, so don't wait too long if you are interested in that one.

I hope I will see some familiar faces in both the marketplace and my classes!!!  The past Scrapfest events have been a blast and I have no doubt that this one will be the best one yet!!!

Happy Birthday Riley!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today my little man turned 7!!!!  He is not so little any more!  We took ri and a friend to see Horton Hears a Who yesterday and it was great!!!  I would recommend it if you want something fun to do with your kids.

Today is also St. Patrick's Day...hope you enjoyed the day and wore a bit of green to celebrate!  The kids were happy to put on there green outfits and head back to school this morning after having a week off for March Break.  We had a nice time last week hanging out and doing stuff together.  We went to the Strong Museum in Rochester, NY.  If you ever have the chance to go, do it!  It was a ton of fun!!!  I will post some pics from there later this week.

Also taught at Bizzy B's on Saturday.  I had a good time and the classes were well received!  We ran on time and everyone was able to finish their projects!  Thanks to the staff at Bizzy B's for having me and to all of the ladies who attended!

Lovin' these New Classes!!!!

You know what??!!! I am teaching at Bizzy B's in Toronto on Bloor West next Saturday, March 15th and I just got my full box of all the new, GORGEOUS papers from Scenic Route including the Grafton Line and the Providence line.  So, I sat down and created my classes!!!!  Oh, are we going to have some fun!!!

This is the Grafton Layout Workshop!!!  We will be creating two double page spreads and a bonus 12x12 page!!!!

This is a the Providence class!!  It is a Friendship Minibook class and the book is one of the new pre-covered round albums!!!!

I had fun creating these classes!!!!  If you want to come out and play, give the store a call and book your spot!  I have prizes, goodies and I'm ready to have a good time now that I am feeling better!!!  Can't wait to see you there!

A Good Cause

My friend Kate Teague created this beautiful digi kit for Songbird Avenue and all proceeds are going to the The National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

This is a seriously gorgeous kit and it is for a good cause!  If you love to play around with digi go check it out!

Flu....again!!

Started with the chills and a backache yesterday...then a terrible headache and nausea.  I was better for a total of 2 days!!!!  So, I am crawling back in to my bed.  If you need me, call me.

A Making Memories Challenge!

I saw on the Making Memories blog that they were looking for Guest Designers a few weeks ago and I had a bunch of the Noteworthy line that I hadn't dug into.  So, I emailed and asked if I could play along!!!  I have been a big fan of MM products for ever so this was a fun challenge!!!  Here is what I came up with...

The stars and hearts are from an MM Foil kit and the little dots are Ranger's Glossy Accents (anyone who knows me knows my absolute LOVE of Glossy Accents!!!!!!  It isn't just a decorative glue my friends...I use it for EVERYTHING!!!!)

I had a good time with this one!!!!  After visiting their booth at CHA I will be buying a bunch of Making Memories goodies in the next few months!!!  ESPECIALLY a SLICE!  Can't wait for that little treasure!!!

I have been scrapping up a storm over here!!!  I have to say it feels gooooood!  Sometimes I don't really feel like scrapping, yes, it happens!  But once I sit down and do it I am hooked all over again!  I am playing with some of the new Crate Paper...love it!!!!  And I have been making some of my classes with Scenic Route's Grafton line.  I love the Grafton stuff!  It is so much more than a summer inspired/beach line!  The colors are so rich!  Love it!!  I will post a few of my pages in the coming days!  I am working on my class projects for Bizzy B's and Scrapfest in Kitchener.  If you were thinking about taking one of my classes there are still spots left.  I will be getting the boxes to kit up the classes this week and they are going to be packed with goodies!  I would love to have you come out and play!!!!
