Hello friends! Leigh here, to share a layout featuring the new Field Notes “Choose To Shine” Stamp and Die Set and the Field Notes Washi Tape Set. Do you love washi, but want some new ideas on how to use it on a layout? Then, this page is for you.
I used the stamps on a few different patterned papers from the Field Notes line, and stamped different stamp images on each color. That way, when I assembled each grouping, they looked unique. Die cut your images after stamping.
You can see the washi used as a tape to hold each flower group. It looks like those floral backdrops you see at weddings and events, but on a smaller scale. You can use the washi to hold down your floral images temporarily, while you decide the placement, and they can easily be removed to splatter on the art crayons. I stamped the leaves and stems with one image, and fussy-cut them out with detail scissors.
You can see, at this angle, the splatters that were colored to coordinate with each floral grouping. I used the Vicki Boutin Watercolor Brushes and art crayons to custom mix colors. I removed each flower, but left the leaves so I knew where to splatter the droplets.
The finished layout has hand-written journaling, but you could easily type or print it on your computer. Notice that the flower images that are the same color have different embellishments over top to help them look unique. I added the All The Good Things embellishment enamel dots to the center of some of the flowers.
A close-up of the completed page, and the stitching over the washi, shows you a couple of ideas for using the Stamp and Die Set from the new Field Notes line. This page was fairly quick to make, and uses just a few supplies.
Thank you for visiting today, Leigh
