Snow or no snow...you can't keep a girl from her craft!!! And that was exactly the case this past weekend with Crop & Create Markham! I left on Friday afternoon in the middle of all of that snow we were having. It was a white knuckle drive but I made the trek and arrived safely. Couldn't let all the ladies down who were there for my layout class. The weekend went well. The whole team came together and pulled off a great event!!! Sorry that the snow kept Kelly Goree and Becky Fleck away. I had the pleasure of teaching Kelly's two layout classes in her absence and I tried to do the talented girl justice. I even threw in a "y'all" or two for good measure! Thanks ladies for the great visits and laughter!!! You are all the BEST!!!!!
I have to thank Nicole Nowosad for all her help this weekend! She is not only super talented in her own right but she is also sooo much fun and was my right hand wo-man when it came to assisting my classes. Thanks, sweet girl!!!

Speaking of Scrapbooking events, did you know that Scrapfest Kitchener opens tomorrow evening? I love this one, too. I have been a part of this event for many years now and I always have such a great time meeting up with friends and teaching fun workshops. Lisa and her team put together a great cropping, shopping and learning event!!! This year I have two brand new workshops.
On Friday night I will be teaching Precious Metals Layout Workshop. This one is 2 double pages layouts using brand new product from Little Yellow Bicycle, American Crafts, Queen and Co, Viva Decor and Core'dinations. We will explore and bunch of ways to play with the "shiny" stuff and house it on two fabulous pages. Images will be along soon.
Then on Saturday morning I will be teaching "Lovely Layers" a technique based workshop. This one will be filled with embellishing ideas using stamps, diecuts, tapes, twine, layered masking and more!!! The kit will be filled with brand new Crate Paper, Webster's Pages, Queen and Co and some exciting new stuff from Little Yellow Bicycle.
I can't wait!!! I am brimming over with ideas for these classes and so excited over the products I plan to use and techniques I am going to share!!! Keep in mind that these classes fill fast. This is a great event with lots of SHOPPING opportunities!!! And you know that I will help you find ways to spend your money! I am already compiling my list for a few of the stores so they have all of the stuff I will be using in class available to buy. I am good like that. :)

Congrat, Diana!!! Woohoo!!! I can't wait for Scrapfest in Kitchener. Sure wish I could go to Moncton and Burnaby too but maybe another year.
