It has been way too long since I visited this blog. My final deadline for art and text for the book was this week. Wow. What a long process. I am used to creating a lot of projects in a short period of time but this was a little different. I am so happy it is close to done!! I can't wait to share it. December is going to be a long wait! I will have to start planning teaser projects to build up to the big day!
What else has been going on in my life...sick kids. Riley was the first one to come down with this headache, fever, coughing your lungs out thing. Then it was me. Then Devyn. And then Riley again. We all still have the cough but no major illness. It has been a bad year for bugs. If the sun would only start shining here and warm up a bit, I think everyone would feel better!
Scrapfest Kitchener also happened earlier this month. It was another GREAT event! I had the chance to visit with a lot of ladies I haven't seen in awhile. I have to say that the people I have met over the years is the BEST part of this whole paper crafting adventure! I truly enjoy spending time with people who share the simple joy of making stuff and at the same time love the connection that this craft offers. Being away for months working on this book has really put a cramp in my social calendar! :) Having the opportunity to reconnect at Scrapfest was a much needed break! I have to thank my Mom and Tara for all of their help!!! Spending time with these two ladies is always a joy!! Can't wait for Scrapfest Oshawa in October! Thanks to Lisa and the Scrapfest gang for all of the work they put into making Scrapfest such an all around good time!
What else...I had a few ladies ask where I will be teaching next. I have Creative Escape in AZ in August, Destination Create in October, Scrapfest Oshawa and the cruise with the Scrapping Turtle in November. There is also another one in the works that I will be adding. I have to start working on my 2012 calendar. I will add all of the details to the left sidebar here.
Seeing that this blog has been barren of anything interesting for awhile, I am going to start working on that now! I have a few guest designer gigs coming up and a bunch of lovely product that I am going to turn in to something to share here. Is there anything you would like to see? Cards, stamping, layouts?? Let me know!
